The machine is moved by stepper motors on all 3 axes, the glue is fed from a pressurized vessel containing a gallon bottle. the glue is UV cured in a pair conveyors that I also built. I'm not exactly a linux fan, but for this application I used a linux operating system with EMC2 built in. I can't complain, it interfaces through the parallel port to the stepper controllers and home switches perfectly. the machine runs on standard G code with the coolant command operating the glue solonoid. |
